Our Story (so far…)

At the heart of Boundless is a team - a triad - because we are sooo over solo acts.

Cheryl Nembhard, Angela Lam and Danielle Strickland are the furious and fiery spiritual center that believes - together - we can do much more than we could even ask or imagine. The Triad is shared synergy, spiritual connection, robust relational equity, and fierce trust in each other as - together - we pursue a shared vision of Boundless Creation.

Cheryl Nembhard is incredibly gifted (check out her website to read the incredible and boundless gifts she has and things she does).  Her spiritual authority, life experience and development mojo is a gift to all things Boundless.  Cheryl is deeply passionate about encouraging and equipping creative leaders to think outside the box. She also directs the seriously expanding & very exciting Women Speakers Collective.

Angela Lam is a people moving expert. Her ability to create systems of empowerment, motivate, include and inspire others is unmatched. She can spot gifts in others and connect people with each other like peanut butter can make magic with chocolate or jam! Angela embodies Boundless in all kinds of ways and has some serious advocacy chops as she leads the charge at Hagar’s Voice.

Danielle Strickland has managed to turn her gift for visionary sight into entrepreneurial madness (in most of the right ways). Her vision, networks, experience and wisdom has offered many outliers a place to call home. Danielle is a maverick who believes that God is redeeming everything and that everyone, everywhere is invited to co-create that redemption plan. Her life’s passion is to live out Isaiah 58. Check out what she does at daniellestrickland.com

The triad is the spiritual synergy of Boundless.

We are a team that leads, discerns, prays, laughs, cries, shares wisdom, experience and hope together. Where do we get the energy, stamina and mojo to keep up all this creative work?

Boundless is an Infinitum-infused organization.

What does that mean? We’re glad you asked! Infinitum is a way of life that follows Jesus by living Love in real life. We do this by practicing the postures of surrender, generosity and mission. We use daily, weekly and monthly rhythms to keep our faith active and real. Infinitum started 7 years ago with a group of grassroots practitioners, Phil Wall, Stephen Court, Ian Mayhew, and Danielle Strickland and has grown into a movement of Jesus followers around the world.

Because Infinitum isn’t a centralized program but an encounter-based movement of practitioners, it’s kind of hard to nail it down, but along with the triad here’s a few more awesome people that make Infinitum work:

Infinitum’s Leadership Team is made up of founding innovators and fresh-faced practitioners - all working together to find language, spark spiritual experimentation and model surrender, generosity & mission to their spiritual siblings. And they host a real-time online conversation about Infinitum practices in Infinitum’s interactive community!

So, that’s our root system and where our depth begins to match our growth.

Now, let’s talk about the growing fruit.

Those beautiful emerging initiatives are launching creative exploits into the real world!

The vision of Brave Global is to stop human trafficking before it starts by empowering girls. With a special focus on girls in foster care, Brave provides a variety of resources to strengthen their identities and to help them navigate the challenges of adolescence. Beyond their podcast, journals and video lessons, Brave equips local communities to reach out and support their youths right where they are.

The team behind Brave is led by Andrea Richie and it’s quite a team! Andrea is a formidable woman who leads with integrity, vision and tenacity and the world is a much better place because she chooses to use her gifts for others.

Speaking of teams that do beautiful things: check out this Tiny Team with a big dream!  Alicia Wilson, Siobhan & Timo Koch were at a summer camp during COVID, so the only place they could meet with Danielle was over a fire! It was around that fire pit that their shared vision of creating a different way of living together (including tiny houses) was born. These three amigos (Alicia, Timo & Siobhan) had experience in creating authentic communities and alternative ways of living that embraced diversity, welcomed others and challenged norms, and Danielle had over 20 years of trying to serve marginalized communities and help people struggling with houselessness… Those dreams and experiences led to the creation of In My Backyard

This team that leads IMBY believes that big changes happen through tiny things - like building a tiny house in your backyard & offering belonging to others… They can see a new world where there is enough room for everyone.

There is nothing tiny about Women Speakers Collective! This group of incredible leaders have become a catalyst for women, around the globe, to unleash their voices and use them with power and precision for change!  Cheryl Nembhard leads this diverse and gifted team of 'avengers' who serve women through global events and initiatives that continue to carve a path of legacy, equity, empowerment, and truth.

Speaking of raising your voice: please meet Hagar’s Voice. Led by the creative genius of Angela Lam, this group of people are the best people we know. Hagar’s Voice was created in response to the deep need revealed as the crisis of clergy sexual abuse that emerged and never went away. In the advocacy of the local moment a team of brave survivors rose up, determined to change things for other survivors and advocate for change!

Honestly, their commitment, sacrifice, experience and hope are inspirational. Their gifts and skills are out of this world. And the way they work together to advocate for change and support survivors of clergy sexual abuse is a sight to behold.

REIMAGINE by WomenCo

By now you might just be sensing a theme of empowering movements? As we’ve followed God's lead, we’ve discovered freedom and liberation is central to redemption plans. Which brings us to one of our newest initiatives - REIMAGINE by WomenCo and the mighty women leading the way…REIMAGINE is a relational network where female leaders can innovate & experiment with the development of faith communities amongst other spiritual entrepreneurs.

Lisa Jernigan is as fun as she is driven! Her heart beats to mobilize local communities to make peace and to train, inspire and educate people in global peacemaking that might change the way they live at home. Lisa and Danielle co-founded Amplify Peace at a lunch that never ended (well, it eventually ended HOURS later) and as they talked they began to see their shared desire to help people discover how to MAKE peace in today’s conflict-riddled world.  Julie Bean joined the fun as the director and with a global vision and a local mandate for peacemaking, Amplify Peace was born…

We should also mention here our hopes for Boundless Publishing. Our growing team of humans daring greatly have a deep desire to center voices that have been traditionally kept out of publishing spaces… our hope is to create a publishing experience that supports, elevates and connects those voices! Stay tuned for more as this project begins to take shape, but there are some incredible humans coming around this dream and we are grateful to 100Movements Publishing for mentoring us through this incubation stage.

As this partnership with 100M Publishing demonstrates,

we are collaborators not competitors.

And we’ve found some pretty incredible people to partner with along the way. These partnerships aren’t just corporate arrangements, they are people we love doing incredible things in the world and the love is mutual - they also love to cheer, collaborate and support our efforts. Together, we really are better. We thought you should know about them….

And this list is growing all the time - we love playing with other dreamers!

World Vision / Amanda Bowman & James Pedrick are the two humans who have shared their lives and hopes and experiences with our team. We love them… there are many more of course and this beautiful charity keeps surprising us with the depth of their heart and love for the world’s most vulnerable people…

Orange / Reggie Joiner and Kristen Ivy are two of our favorite people. It started a long way back when they committed a lot of time and investment in helping us shape the vision of Brave Global. But they didn’t stop there… nope, they keep cheering us on, supporting our vision and collaborating on everything we can do together to raise a generation of kids who know what Boundless Love really is. We love Orange and think you will too.

Food For the Hungry / When the world was shut down and a small team of crazy mavericks thought building tiny houses in backyards was a subversive way to challenge the suburban ‘dream’ and do something - right where we were - our friends at Food for the Hungry jumped right in! They were early supporters of our training video series that continues to be the strategic training system for IMBY communities.

Movement Leaders Collective / We’ve got some fellow dreamers who inspire, challenge and partner with us to create beautiful change. Alan Hirsch, Rich Robinson, and the team at MLC collaborated with Boundless (with Katie Castro leading the charge) and created the GameChanger cohort, a 9-month coaching strategy to build equitable leadership teams. We are thankful for their continued partnership.

This story is already out of date…

We know, because it’s daily that our team, partners, collaborators and co-creators grow… Our mutual flourishing is impossible to keep up with, but that’s what we love most about what Boundless does - it’s not called Boundless by accident - it’s a growing, beautiful, messy, creative group of people who believe it’s possible to keep flourishing together… and that could just as easily include you!
